Meet Kate Lepley, M.Ed., LCPC

Therapy That Offers A Collaborative Approach To Supporting
Children, Teens, and Parents

Hi, I’m Kate Lepley

Kate Lepley

I’m passionate about helping children, teens, and parents heal, grow, and create meaningful change.

I specialize in working with anxiety, OCD, ADHD, behavioral concerns, perfectionism, social skills, grief, depression, life transitions, stress management, and school-related challenges.

Before becoming a clinical counselor, I spent 17 years working in public schools - first as a teacher, and then as a school counselor. That experience gave me a deep understanding of the emotional, social, and academic pressures children and teens face every day, while also shaping the way I partner with parents and school professionals to support lasting growth.

It’s Not Just About What Happens In Session

One of the most important parts of my work is collaboration.

Children and teens do best when the adults around them are working together.

Therapy is often most effective when support extends beyond the therapy room. I collaborate with parents, school counselors, teachers, pediatricians, psychiatrists, and other support professionals to help create consistency and understanding across environments.

Whether a child is struggling socially, emotionally, behaviorally, or academically, my goal is to help families feel supported with practical tools, clear communication, and a shared understanding of what their child needs in order to thrive.

My approach is warm, compassionate, and direct.

I believe children and teens do well when they have the right skills and that behavior often makes more sense when we understand what’s underneath it.

Using evidence-based approaches like CBT, I help clients learn how thoughts impact feelings and behaviors, while building emotional awareness, coping skills, and confidence along the way.

Real change happens when children, teens, and parents all feel understood and empowered.

Therapy is not about perfection.

Therapy is about helping children, teens, and families feel more connected, capable, and equipped to handle life’s challenges with greater confidence and steadiness.
